Imagine you are a single mum in NSW who had been flooded out of your home, and looking for a secure place to live when there are no houses and no hope. And then two strangers offer you a way out, on their own dime, in an act of radical generosity...
The Eden Tiny House Project is being featured on #AustralianStory, ABC.
We are proud to have been involved in the Eden Project, where two people, Susan and Stephen, lifetime friends and colleagues, took their own personal funds to end the housing crisis for 15 vulnerable women.
This Monday 25th August, Australian Story will be telling part of their story, following a few of the women who benefited from this extremely generous offer and who are now living in their tiny houses on wheels.

In August 2022 Fred and I traveled to Canberra, ACT, to deliver a trauma-informed version of the Weekend Workshops to the women who were eligible for the private funding and who were interested in building their own tiny house on wheels.
From the following month, we were sending stacks of trailers to different locations in NSW, ready to be built on:

Stories of tenacity and hope.
The 'Eden Women', as they have been affectionately referred to, have been absolutely heroic in their determination and ability to build their way out of chaotic circumstances, into housing stability.
Stephen and Susan have provided steadfast and wise, empowering support to each of them through thick and thin for the following years as they built different houses, with different levels of support, resources and challenges.
A challenge as big as building a tiny house on wheels doesn't come by very often, and an offer for partial funding to do so is even rarer.
We bow in honour of all the incredible efforts that people have put into the Eden Project, the Eden Women and support people alike, and hope that their tenacity and hope inspires you in your current journey.
